Part of the Faces of Kenya series, this portrait captures the quiet determination of a young boy immersed in his studies, a symbol of hope and potential in a community where educational resources are scarce. This is one of four pieces in the series, each celebrating the individuality and spirit of Kenya’s youth.
Proceeds from the sale of Faces of Kenya paintings directly support Village Impact, a nonprofit that has built 16 schools in Kenya to date. This particular work was self-sold and gifted to my fellow collaborator, @nicoledfordvegas, with a donation already made in its honor.
While these schools have brought transformative opportunities, they currently have no art school, art supplies, or art teacher. Imagine the possibilities if creativity could flourish alongside academics. Your support can help make that vision a reality.
